Rev John Heaton Micklethwait of Painthorpe House, Nr. Wakefield. Baptised at Felkirk Church in March 1815. Vicar of St James' Chapelthorpe, Co. York for 30 years. The oak pulpit was given to the church by his widow in memory of her husband's long service to the church & community. . There is no area for burials at Chapplethorpe so burials are undertaken at the mother church of St Helen's in Sandal Magna. Family gravestone in graveyard at rear of the church.
