North & West of York. Long Marston; Easingwold; Gilling East & Terrington. 3 generations of the family lived at Long Marston. One of the family commanded a Troop of Horse at the Battle of Marston Moor in 1644. Others lived at Terrington & Gilling East. We have not yet established the site of the Long Marston home; the Terrington home no longer exists but the Gilling East home is illustrated above.
